How to Order Genuine Parts by Part Number

Short answer: Order by sending the manufacturer part number, or the chassis/VIN plus part name and vehicle model and year. A good supplier confirms the genuine reference before quoting, which prevents wrong-variant orders.

What information do I need to order by part number?

Ideally the manufacturer part number. If you do not have it, send the chassis number or VIN, the part name, and the vehicle model and year so the correct genuine reference can be identified and confirmed with you.

Why is part-number accuracy so important?

Many models share names across generations and regional variants with different parts. Confirming the genuine part number before ordering avoids the single most common sourcing error: the wrong-variant part. See genuine vs aftermarket parts.
